My favorite place on Hilton Head!! They have the absolute best chocolate and fudge—trust me, I’m there once a week! The owners, Maureen and Gus, and all of their employees are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They always make you feel so welcome, and everything is absolutely delicious! And as an added bonus… FREE fudge samples!

I have been coming to the Island Fudge Shoppe for well over 20 years. It is without doubt, the best chocolate and fudge shop I have ever visited, and I have visited many all over the country. Their peanut butter cups are the best. Truly homemade with a great mix of delicious milk chocolate and creamy peanut butter. These remind me of the famous Fannie Farmer peanut butter cups from years ago before that company sold out. They have many other wonderful specialties, including, among my favorites, their, English toffee, and sea salt caramels. But if you only bring home their amazing chocolate specialties, you will miss, perhaps the peak of their confectionary abilities-their homemade fudge. The chocolate walnut and maple walnut are superb. The praline pecan, chocolate peanut butter and many other varieties make it so hard to choose just a 1 pound box with 1/4 pound slabs in it. So I always get two boxes at least. I never visit Hilton Head without stopping in the Island Fudge Shoppe. And when I can’t get down there, I try to arrange with the owners, Gus and Maureen, to send my favorites along, which they are happy to do with appropriate warm weather packaging when necessary for the chocolate. There are few real homemade chocolate stores left with so much commercialization in the industry. It is wonderful to have this gem on Hilton Head, and to be able to order from them no matter where you are. I’ve never been disappointed in anything they make, and you won’t be either.

The Island Fudge Shoppe is Coligny Confectionary answer to Boston’s “Cheers” …where everybody knows your name! When you walk in you feel like you’re with family. Not to mention the candy is amazing! Some tried and true favorites…Dubai chocolate bark, peanut butter cups, triple stuffed oreos!
